trip this fall was to visit the Pompeii, Herculaneum and the National Archeology Museum.  To make the most of the experience, we engaged guide Natalia Fiorentino for a full day to take us to Herculaneum and the Museum.  She far exceeded our expectations. Beyond expertise on the sites, she really paid attention to our interests and what we wanted to see, and helped us customize the day. She suggested visiting Herculaneum (the \u201ccontainer\u201d) in the morning, then seeing the \u201ccontents\u201d in the museum in the afternoon. And she was proactive in making sure we had directions for getting from our hotel in Naples to the train station, and then getting the right train to our meeting spot.&#10;&#10;Natalia is a delightful person to spend a day with. She seemed genuinely interested in us, and we soon felt like old friends.  Most importantly, of course, she did help us make the most of our visit to these ancient sites.  We saw and learned so much more than we would have on our own. enti\u00e8re pour un voyage dans le temps , de presque 2000 ans en arri\u00e8re et nous avons atterri avec notre machine \u00e0 remonter le temps \u00e0 Herculanum et Pomp\u00e9i , en l\u2019an 79 !&#10;Grace \u00e0 Natalia , tout est re-devenu vivant et les villes se sont anim\u00e9es d\u2019une foule affair\u00e9e et tr\u00e9pidante qui ne savait pas qu\u2019elle vivait sous un volcan. Puis la trag\u00e9die est arriv\u00e9e, la montagne a explos\u00e9 et Natalia nous a aid\u00e9s \u00e0 \u00e9chapper \u00e0 la lave , aux gaz  suffocants,  aux cendres br\u00fblantes pour revenir dans un pr\u00e9sent moins dangereux.  Nous garderons en m\u00e9moire un voyage palpitant avec Natalia tellement sympathique, qui sait si bien raconter les histoires et r\u00e9pondre avec patience \u00e0 toutes nos questions.&#10;N\u2019h\u00e9sitez pas \u00e0 monter dans sa machine \u00e0 remonter le temps. She was able to deftly avoid the crowds, arranged to get us viewings of all of the places one would want to see on this excursion. She was insightful, friendly and just a joy to visit with for such a short time. Walking tour of Sorrento with lots of information, stories and tips as well as great singing! Restaurant recommendations were all superb and the tour helped us become quickly familiar with the layout of the town.  So helpful with visit to Herculaneum - clear timings and prices too. Tour of the site was amazing with lots of knowledge shared and very happy to answer our many questions. Looking forward to a return trip to explore further with Natalia and Salvatore.
